D J DEE Music

   My name is Darla J. DEE.  I'm a nobody who is somebody.  I grew up in Limerick, Maine. There are six of us kids and alot of memories.  My maiden name was Provencher.  Like any country singer, divorce happens, so I thought I'd keep the name change simple * DEE *.  I have four good kids, Joe, Pete, Kara & Kayla and three beautiful  granddaughters, Alliah, Lily & Paiden.  Plus 2 special little girls, Vanessa & Emily who call me MiMi too. I started singing (if thats what you called it) in 1998 and  also started playing guitar.  It wasn't easy but my God was calling me.  There were many times I wanted to give up but, thank God I didn't. I have wonderful support from my better half (the Taxi Guy). 

    My goal is to promote good, edifying, fun, music & entertainment.  I have been a Barber since 1988, after my father & his father & my Great grandfather (can't get the men to do anything anymore).  Dad passed away in 2006, he's the hero of all of my siblings and I, and also the hero of his grandchildren.  He's touched many lives here.  Even though he's no longer here, he left us plenty to live with.  I've moved away a few times and here I am back in Limerick again. I'm still a small town girl  at heart.  Stop by some time for a haircut or a chat.

       ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  I started late in life playing and singing and it was a long time people clapped; THANK GOD SHE'S DONE   before they clapped; GOOD JOB, WELL DONE.  I just never gave up even when I probably should have but, I knew to keep practicing and not give up. 

  I have been a member of the Down East Country Music Association and have won many awards including:

**Best Gospel Album of the Year,

**Songwriter of the Year, **Horizon Award,

**Solo Artist of the Year amongst many others. 

Also many Awards down in Pigeon Forge Tennessee,

**Female Vocalist Rising Star, **Female Entertainer Horizon Award amongst many others. 

The same with Pine Tree Association :

 ** Soloist of the Year, amongst a few others.

  I have had the honor to sing the National Anthem and Patriotic songs at the Waterboro Fire Department in 2001  for the tribute to the 911.

  I also performed the National Anthem at the Lobster Bowl in Biddeford,

  I performed at the Cornish Apple Festival for 3 years. Also, in the third year I  coordinated the entertainment.

  I have participated in the Ossipee Valley Blugrass Festival many times. I entered their songwriting contest and got picked in the top 20.  I hope to compete again this year.

 Stonehedge in Gray, Maine.  I did my own set of Gospel songs that day and it was a beautiful day. They have an awesome outdoor stage.  They have camping and lots of back to back country and bluegrass bands to entertain you all day and all night.  While the bands are setting up you can learn all the new line dances and couple dances.  I have a few new favoritebands and one is called Emerald Sky.  Check out these Websites!

I think his Taxi's sexy.  He's got a one of a kind Taxi Cab. His company is Two Rivers Transport. We are located in Limerick, Maine.  He covers quite a large area in Southern Maine.  What a Guy! He's definately a keeper.
